Emission control
The techniques and equipment available at the LCMA permit the evaluation and control of pollutants from gas emission chimneys as well as diffuse emissions (emissions from landfills or from materials) through the determination of:
Emission parameters:
- Velocity and gas flow
- Temperature
- Humidity
Emitted compounds:
- Inorganic: SO2, CO, CO2, NOx, …..
- VOC:
- Individual compounds of different chemical families: aldehydes, alcohols, ketones, esters, ethers, carboxylic acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, organonitrogentaed, organosulfurs, terpenes, glycols, etc…
- Total organic carbon (TOC) : global value, applicable when the emitted compounds are known individually
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (gas and particulate phase)
- Particles
